July 2013 promises an arts festival with a difference. Four arts festivals, to be precise, spanning the north of England and offering new creative opportunities for regional artists and residents alike.
Python Arts Festival 2013 will take place in Warrington, Bolton and Teesside from Saturday 20th July until Saturday 3rd August. During this fortnight-long celebration, local and national artworks will be on display, accompanied by a range of interactive workshops and events.
Python Properties, the festival organiser, is a commercial property business with a unique style of merging the art-space with the workplace. Each gallery is situated on the ground floor of an office building, introducing visitors to a range of creative mediums whilst allowing local artists to showcase their work. Their four galleries are:
Python Gallery (Teesside)
The Gallery at Bank Quay House (Warrington)
The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet (Teesside)
The Gallery at St George’s House (Bolton)
Each will be hosting its own segment of the festival, drawing together local arts organisations and communities. There will be an Open Exhibition with individual prize-winners from each region – plus the opportunity of a touring exhibition in 2014 across all four galleries.
So, whether you’re a working artist, hope to try out a potential new hobby or need some creative inspiration for the summer holidays, Python Arts Festival has plenty to offer. More details – including events, artist line-ups and how to enter your own artwork – are soon to follow.
